ARITA | 有田
Originating in the 17th century as Japan’s first porcelain tradition, Arita ware is distinguished by its luminous white body and refined overglaze decoration. Roman and Williams Guild collaborated with a collective of heritage kilns to produce archival patterns alongside custom silver-glazed plates and bowls developed specifically for Marcel, the restaurant developed by Roman and Williams in partnership with Sotheby’s, located within the historic Breuer Building. Pattern, reflectivity, and surface variation introduce rhythm across the table, allowing each element to contribute to a composed and balanced arrangement.
