Kotoe Tazoe is an emerging master of Kiriko, a labor-intensive Japanese cut-glass technique characterized by vivid colors, intricate textural patterns, and graceful silhouettes. Inspired by native Japanese flora and traditional kimono patterns, her richly hued, jewel-like glassware takes an inventive new approach to the time-honored craft, with roots stretching back to Edo Japan.
