BOOM BOOM ROOM AT THE STANDARD

New York

Roman and Williams conceived the Boom Boom Room as a rebellious eighteenth-floor club,
a shimmering homage to legendary venues like Windows on the World.

Inspired by the craftsmanship of a Bentley, the warmth of honey, and nature's geometry, the
design plays with the tension between the organic and the urbane. The floor plan unfolds
like a topographic river, guiding guests through zones of stadium seating.

The 18-foot ceilings accommodate a monumental, glossy bar evoking a central tree—the
sensation of being in a glittering treetop overlooking the city. To rival the panoramic views,
the interior is crafted with rich, tactile materials: alder wood, brass, rose mirror, cream
leather, burl wood, and a sparkling custom carpet.

A space of 1940s-inspired glamour that feels both transportive and of-the-moment.
